Hand made in Scotland from original Mackintosh designs We’re delighted to offer these fantastic cards which are individually crafted in Scotland. They feature real hand printed textiles to original 1920s designs by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The Beaten Path Studio have been pre-eminent makers of Mackintosh textiles for decades and their work has featured in many prestigious settings. These distinctive cards feature hand-mounted panels of their Mackintosh fabric in the famous Tulip & Lattice design. Mackintosh made this design whilst living in Chelsea, London during the 1920s. It was inspired by his lifelong love of plant motifs but shaped also by the growing move towards Art Deco. It combines elements from earlier designs such as the Japanese – inspired shoji grid and the colours he used in now famous interior schemes such as at The Willow Tea Rooms.
